Why did hitler gain electoral success?
Hitler gained electoral success because of his broad policies compared to other political parties. It was seen as the 'alternative'. Also, because his party used so much propaganda against communists, socialists and pacifists many people voted for him simply because they were scared of such left wing political ideologies getting into power. Hitler also showed that his regime would ruthlessly stop any intervention from the Treay of Versailles, which no other parties would. This was a very sensitive case because Germany was still paying WW1's war reparations which was seriously burdening the economy. Hitler stressed the fact he wanted to make Germany 'strong again' bu retreiving land they lost and uniting with Austria. There was a real sense of patriotism.
