Fitness questions? best methods to get these results?
I am a 19 year old male, I weigh 165 pounds currently and I am about 5'11''. I have a fitness evaluation on Feb 5th to try and get a spot with the Washington State Patrol to become a trooper. To successfully p the evaluation I have to be able to run 1.5 miles in 12 minutes and 29 seconds, I also will be required to complete 29 push ups in one minute and 38 sit ups in one minute. Currently I am able to do the running challenge in about 14 minutes and I can complete the sit ups in the time alloted. I'm working on the push ups but these are slightly more challenging for me (lol) so basically my question is what is the best training method to be able to reach these goals in a little under a month? Currently Ive just been running the 1.5 once a day but have not seen a significant time increase.. Any information is greatly appreciated :)
