Please Help!: Implantation bleeding or just the start of period?

Honestly Hun it sounds like your girlfriend is not pregnant. Having that early in her cycle will probably result in the sperm dying before she actually gets a chance to ovulate. Her cycle could get a little messed up too from going on the pill, all very normal to have it out of whack for a while. Sweetie, just play it safe if you don't want an unplanned pregnancy just yet, keep him bagged or just wait a couple of weeks till she is safe :-) Some women who are in tune with there body, know when they are ovulating just by watching changes in discharge, she has obviously done this. Although sometimes it can be misleading especially introducing a change to her cycle such as the pill. I'm sure the bleeding today that she has had is just a light period. Generally you don't get implantation bleeding until the egg burrows into the wall of the uterus, at that stage it is already fertilized. Usually a couple of days after fertilization it will then implant itself.
