India has a population of over 1.5. billion people so why is there no action from any quarter to control it ?

In India people live in a fool's paradise where they lull themselves into believing that all is well. The greatest threat to India's security is the population. India had a family planning policy about two decades ago but they have abandoned it because the ignorant mes still equate children with wealth and prosperity. The political parties wish to stay in power at any cost and so pander to the sentiments of the ignorant mes. The richer middle cl are getting richer at the expense of the poor who are getting poorer. At this rate in another 10 years we might have about 3 billion and about half the population in the world will be Indians. Should we Indians not act ( do something) to stop this growing menace instead of glorifying our many imaginary achievements and imaginary heroes?
