How do i get over a cold fast?

i woke up saturday and i thought it was allergies because my mom said the same thing but 2 days now my head is congested and my nose is stuffy i took allergy meds. and the max decongestant i can have for now. my voice sounds growly so im leaning towards that this is a cold. and i was wondering if there was any fast way of getting rid of this
